All of our students have difficulty with learning and have not been successful in a regular school environment. The I.Q.s of our students range from average to high. A significant number of our students have Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) or Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), which impairs their ability to learn. Almost 80% of our students have some form of dyslexia. Dyslexia can also cause problems in math (dyscalculia), handwriting (dysgraphia), listening (receptive language problem), and the processing of verbal instructions or information (central auditory processing problem). Along with this host of learning disabilities some of our students also experience anxiety disorders and syndromes like Tourette’s and Asperger's. Our students don't have histories of behavior problems or drug use.
